This policy transparently articulates how birth coordinates, astrological preferences, and technical parameters are processed, ensuring full compliance with the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP India 2023), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU), and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Astorloger collects only the minimal data strictly necessary to compute astronomical ephemeris charts, Vedic Janam Kundli, daily Rashifal, and 36 Guna Milan compatibility:

Note on Geolocation: Astorloger does NOT request, access, or track your real-time GPS location. Your birth city (e.g. "Varanasi, India") is entered manually as plain text and matched against our offline geographical database solely to determine Local Sidereal Time and Ayanamsha.
We process your entered parameters exclusively for core astrological functionality:
- Vedic Janam Kundli: Calculating the 12 Bhavas (houses), planetary longitudes (Navagraha), Lagna, and Navamsha charts.
- Panchang & Muhurat: Computing real-time Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, Rahu Kaal, and Choghadiya timeframes.
- Compatibility (Ashtakoot Guna Milan): Evaluating 36 Gunas and detecting Manglik, Nadi, or Bhakoot Doshas.
- Personalized Sadhana: Calibrating Japa Mala counters, Vedic Upay, and auspicious gemstones tailored to your Chandra Rashi.
- Session Persistence: Remembering your chosen theme, notifications preference, and streak days across app launches.
Astorloger employs the principle of Security by Architecture:
- App Sandbox Isolation: All profile parameters are stored inside the secure Android application sandbox (
SharedPreferences and internal storage), inaccessible to other apps installed on your device.
- Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3): Any external network requests (such as Google Fonts or asset downloads) are encrypted in transit with strict HTTPS protocol.
- No Server Database Dependency: Your daily readings and horoscopes do not require storing your birth records in a centralized cloud database.
In strict accordance with Google Play's Principle of Least Privilege, Astorloger declares only three standard, non-sensitive Android permissions:
android.permission.INTERNET: Enables downloading Google Fonts and web rendering components.android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Verifies active internet connectivity before attempting asset requests.android.permission.VIBRATE: Drives tactile haptic feedback when counting beads on the 108 digital Japa Mala.
Zero Sensitive Permissions: We do NOT request Camera, Microphone, Contacts, SMS, Storage, Call Logs, or Precise Location permissions.
We hold a strict zero-monetization policy over user privacy:
- We do not sell, rent, license, or trade your personal information to data brokers, advertising networks, or marketing firms.
- We do not embed tracking pixels, social media login SDK trackers, or behavioral profiling tools.
- No third-party SDK is granted access to your birth date, time, name, or Kundli charts.
You maintain unconditional control over your personal data. In accordance with global data protection laws (including Article 17 GDPR Right to Erasure and India DPDP Right to Correction and Erasure):
How to Delete All Data Instantly:
You can immediately wipe all saved records, preferences, birth details, and cached charts by performing either of the following actions:
- In-App One-Tap Purge: Open Astorloger → Tap Profile tab → Scroll to "प्रोफ़ाइल रीसेट करें (Reset Journey)" → Confirm. This immediately executes a hard wipe of all local storage keys.
- Android System Clear Data: Go to device Settings → Apps → Astorloger → Storage → Clear Data.
- Uninstalling the Application: Uninstalling Astorloger completely removes all application sandboxed files from your operating system.
Astorloger is designed for general audiences interested in Vedic astrology, philosophy, and mindfulness, aged 13 and older (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us for immediate purge assistance.
For Residents of India (DPDP Act 2023): All processing is lawful, proportionate, and strictly based on your user consent provided during onboarding calibration. You possess rights to access, grievance redressal, and nomination.
For Residents of the European Economic Area (GDPR): The legal basis for processing your astrological parameters is Article 6(1)(b) (Performance of a contract / requested service). You maintain rights to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.
For California Consumers (CCPA/CPRA): We declare that we have not sold or shared any consumer personal information in the preceding 12 months.
